Freeman’s corporate/commercial portfolio encompasses many types of facilities, including corporate office buildings, technological & communication centers, automobile dealerships, hospitality facilities, call centers, data centers, retail centers, big box retail, and parking decks. All of the facilities vary in size and complexity. As well, many are new from ground up, with others involving extensive renovations. Educational/Institutional

Stand alone educational facilities and churches fall within this Freeman category. We have a tremendous depth in both educational construction, from Pre-K to K-12, as well as for technical colleges and universities, and similar facilities within campus environments that include churches, sanctuaries, and other facilities of worship. With educational construction needs often being under-funded, Freeman is successful in value engineering these facilities into budget.
We also include experience with the support needs of schools such as educational laboratories, technology centers, athletic fields & stadiums, track & field facilities, gymnasiums, and auditoriums.

With the advances in medical technology, the healthcare industry is ever changing. For a construction firm to keep up, it must stay attuned to the issues that affect them. Freeman accomplishes this by being well versed in the functions of the many medical specialties and the environments within. This is why Freeman is an ASHE member company. Though much of our healthcare work generally takes place in clinical and administrative settings, much more is accomplished within a hospital environment and includes ambulatory surgery centers, medical office buildings, cancer treatment centers, ambulatory care facilities and nursing homes. Our portfolio includes hospital departmental renovations, surgery centers for all specialties, imaging centers, clinical and special procedure space for the specialties of orthopedics, urology, cardiology, pediatrics, dentistry, oncology, and ophthalmology, among many.

Industrial

Freeman has built a wide range of industrial and warehouse distribution facilities using conventional construction components, tilt-up walls, as well as pre-engineered building systems. We have represented many well known companies including Kodak, Kysor-Warren, Cessna Aircraft, Bayer, Oneda, Charbroil, Heckler & Koch, Polychrome, Lithochrome, Covan, and Foster-Grant. Typically, the industrial sector drives rigid schedules and unique phasing requirements, whereby Freeman has accommodated all clients to be fully satisfied.

Military
|
Freeman is in very close proximity to southeastern military bases within the Savannah District Corp of Engineers, particularly Fort Benning, home of the Infantry and Armored Divisions of our United States Military and BRAC – The United States Base Realignment. We currently offer prime contractor services for many military projects and services as a subcontractor to larger contractors for MATOC and SATOC projects within the Savannah District. Our subcontractor services essentially include servicing larger contractors with constructing a section of a large project, for example the shell and core of a building, or the building foundations, and even the interior buildout of a facility. This assists with preventing depletion of a continuous labor force, and offers the flexibility and convenience of dealing with a single source for a large portion of a project.

Multi-living Communities

Whether it is apartments, condominiums, townhomes or cluster home communities, Freeman participates in the multifamily building sector also. Though seemingly simple to construct, project planning and large site coordination is of utmost importance. One must stay attuned to those criteria, along with aggressive subcontracting and purchasing of materials, to stay a winner with multifamily construction. Over the years, Freeman has completed thousands of multifamily units in the southeast.

Specialty/Renovations

Contracting with Freeman is not limited to large projects or only new “ground up” projects. We pride ourselves in assisting clients with special needs for smaller projects, as well as renovations. Freeman renovates historic buildings into new office facilities or multi-living units, not to mention unique projects that are a part of every market niche that we serve.
